The UP Companies, in collaboration with KAI Design & Build, recently hosted nearly 40 students from Nahed Chapman New American Academy as part of the Saint Louis Public Schools “7th Grade Career and College Expedition” program. Following a quick overview of architecture, engineering and construction, the students were divided into groups for a variety of indoor and outdoor hands-on activities and demonstrations related to the design/build industry. The Saint Louis Public Schools program gives students in grades 6th through 12th an opportunity to learn about different careers by visiting local companies and organizations and participating in activities such as tours, presentations and hands-on learning experiences.
